Wayne Weekly “Seize the Moment…Become a Rescuer”

Written by on September 28, 2016

As believers we find sometimes that we are “evented out”. It seems things often come in waves, a concert here, a church function over there, a Christian’s theme movie somewhere! Our time is limited so we evaluate and make choices using our own barometers of value.

40 Days for Life, a prolife prayer and rescue “event” is now in motion across all 50 US states. Yes, participants from various cities throughout our country have joined forces and have joined in with thousands of others in taking on the mantle of prayer to end abortion, close down abortion facilities, and in turn rescuing babies, and their Moms (yes and even Dads) from future guilt and in some cases serious emotional scars.

40 Days for Life have engaged in even a more visible effort this time around (they put together ongoing 40 Day events throughout the year), the staff of 40 Days for Life and other significant pro-life leaders from various organizations are busing around the country making stops in communities who have formed troops of prayer warriors with the purpose of bringing encouragement and fueling the pro-life engine. The event is peaceful. The event is full of compassion for all the victims of abortion, including the facilities doctors, nurses, office workers and other staff who will bear the weight of the killing of the unborn.

40 Days is now in motion. Find out more and if possible, seize the moment and become a rescuer.

Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, and the One who formed you from the womb, ‘I, the LORD, am the maker of all things, stretching out the heavens by Myself, and spreading out the earth all alone . . .'” (Isaiah 44:24, NASV).

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations” (Jeremiah 1:5, NIV).

“Behold, children are a gift of the LORD; the fruit of the womb is a reward” (Psalm 127:3, NASV).
