He has served as the president of the Evangelical Theological Society (1999), as a member of the Translation Oversight Committee for the English Standard Version of the Bible, and as the General Editor for the ESV Study Bible (2008). He discusses one of the books he has written, “The Poverty of Nations,” which outlines how to fight poverty on a national level using biblical truths and free market principles.
