(SRN NEWS) – Anti-Semitism may leave nowhere for Israeli soccer teams to play.  The latest violence against fans of the Maccabi Tel Aviv squad in Amsterdam has some Israelis worried that it isn’t safe for their teams and fans to travel to games abroad. Meanwhile, the European soccer governing body has ruled that Israel cannot host international matches either, because of the war with Hamas. Maccabi Tel Aviv has been playing its home games in Hungary and Serbia this season — placing the team at a disadvantage. Israel’s Olympic athletes received threats at the Paris games.

Pro-life advocates say they hope some of President Biden’s abortion policies will be revoked once President-elect Donald Trump makes his return to the White House next year. One big concern is Biden’s directive for hospitals to provide emergency abortions for pregnant women in medical distress. Eased access to abortion pills, introduced by the Biden administration, could also be repealed. The pro-life Susan B. Anthony List is hopeful, saying “President Trump’s first-term pro-life accomplishments are the baseline for his second term.”

The Wisconsin Supreme Court is considering whether a law that legislators adopted more than a decade before the Civil War actually bans abortion and can still be enforced. Attorneys representing Democratic Attorney General Josh Kaul and Republican prosecutor Joel Urmanski are on opposite sides of the case. Kaul filed a lawsuit challenging the ban in 2022, arguing it was too old to enforce and that it was superseded by a 1985 state law that permits abortions before an unborn baby can survive outside the womb. No word on when the justices might rule.

Pro-family groups are hoping that President Trump will make good on his campaign promises to end President Biden’s promotion of transgenderism. Opposition to transgenderism was emphasized in the closing days of Mr. Trump’s campaign. One of his final ads stated that “Kamala is for they/them. President Trump is for you.” The Biden administration made transgenderism a priority from day one, filing suit against states that are trying to outlaw sex-change operations on children and keep boys off of girls sports teams and out of their bathrooms.
