(SRN NEWS) – President Biden will bear the dubious distinction of being the president who did the most to promote transgenderism while in office. Mr. Biden named multiple transgender people to influential positions across his administration. He also overturned a ban on transgender people serving in the military and made it possible for U.S. citizens who do not identify as male or female to select an “X” as the gender marker on their passports. President Trump has vowed to undo all of Biden’s transgender decisions as soon as he is sworn in.
Officials at Rutgers University say they will install new safeguards for Jewish students as a means of settling a complaint by the Department of Education. Hundreds of reports of anti-Semitic acts on campus prompted the government to move against Rutgers — one of several major U.S. universities that have seen a sharp uptick in attacks on Jews. It all began in the fall of 2023 with the devastating attack by Hamas on Israel, which has sparked a global surge in anti-Semitism as well as a multi-front war between Israel and various Muslim terror groups.
The country’s education system could undergo major changes once President Trump is sworn in for his second term. He made a campaign promise to cut the Department of Education, which many Americans see as a bastion of liberalism with few real duties. Mr. Trump might also use the power of the federal purse and the accreditation system to push higher education institutions to dismantle diversity, equity, and inclusion programs. Those programs have mostly been used to promote transgenderism and other aspects of the LGBT agenda.
The issue of males competing against females in sports is already being considered by the courts, but President Trump may take action of his own. The most immediate way he could do that would be in the way his administration interprets Title Nine, the law best known for its role in pursuing gender equity in sports. Every administration has the authority to issue its own interpretations of the landmark legislation. Dorianne Coleman of Duke Law School says, “All Trump has to say is, ‘We are going to read the regulation traditionally.’”
