(SRN NEWS) – Experts say the Supreme Court seems likely to uphold Tennessee’s ban on puberty-blocking drugs for children who want to live as the opposite sex. In arguments Wednesday, five of the six conservative justices voiced varying degrees of skepticism about arguments made by the Biden administration, the ACLU and Tennessee families challenging the ban. The justices’ decision, which is expected next summer, could affect similar laws in 25 other states. It could also affect efforts to keep males out of female restrooms and off of girls sports teams.
The LPGA and the USGA have decided that men will not be able to play on the women’s golf tour, even if they are living as women. Prior to this, the LPGA allowed men who had undergone sex-change operations to play the women’s tour. But female golfers protested, pointing out that the surgery does not diminish a man’s physical advantages. The LPGA and USGA say their new policy is geared toward being inclusive of so-called gender identities and expression while striving for equity in competition. A growing number of sports leagues are grappling with transgenderism.

After more than five years of reconstruction following the fire that devastated the 861-year-old icon, the French people will finally be allowed in. First though, some 50 heads of state and leaders of the Catholic Church will gather for the official re-dedication. Work on parts of the building will continue into 2025.
