Now in its third year, The Verb Takes a Walk, a Savage Club series, presents Harvest Melodies and Musings. Join us for serious fun at this next free monthly event on Sunday afternoon, October 13, from 3 to 5 p.m. There will be live readings, music, and refreshments on the house, plus an open mike if time allows, at the Lansing Performance Hall, 1004 Auburn Rd, North Lansing.
Collaboration among poets, musicians, dancers and other artists is encouraged. Send poems and inquiries to poet Mark Zuss, mlzuss@outlook.com, or composer Hugh McElyea, hugomac@gmail.com.
Prior events have featured poets Janie Bibi, Peaches Gillette, Brooke Lange, Daphne Sola, Adin Luca, Mike Finn, Gregory Busby, Natalie Lester, Wendy Babiak, Barbara Regenspan, Fran Markover, Kevin Basl, Eric Evans and Mark Zuss, painter Tommy Beers, and musicians Hugo McElyea, Brian Wansink, Tony Lister, Ira Kamp, Jeremy Beutel, Tony Pesco and Christopher Loy.
The October event will be even more enchanting with you there! We are happy to have the support of the Community Arts Partnership.
