June Strawberry Moon: Free Poetry Reading & Live Music

June 9 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Free

Poets perform with musicians in The Verb Takes a Walk: Poetry Meets Music series. The next free monthly event, June Strawberry Moon, will be on Sunday June 9, from 3 to 5 PM, at the Savage Club Lansing Performance Hall, 1004 Auburn Rd, North Lansing.  Join us for readings and music, an open mike if time allows, and refreshments.

We encourage collaboration among poets, musicians, dancers and other artists. Send poems and inquiries to poet Mark Zuss, zuss@earthlink.net or composer Hugh McElyea, hugomac@gmail.com.

Prior events have featured poets Janie Bibi, Peaches Gillette, Brooke Lange, Daphne Sola, Adin Luca, Mike Finn, Gregory Busby, Natalie Lane, and Mark Zuss, painter Tommy Hughs, and musicians Hugo McElyea, Brian Wansink, Tony Lister, Ira Kamp, Jeremy Beutel and Chris Lowry.

We are happy to have the support of the Community Arts Partnership.
