IS RURAL NEW YORK GONE WITH THE WIND?
How State Energy Policy Impacts Upstate Communities

Two 5-megawatt wind turbines, each over half the height of the Empire State Building, have been proposed on rural property in the towns of Stark and Springfield. Along with many other wind, solar, battery, and transmission line projects planned across upstate New York, this proposal puts rural communities and the environment at risk in pursuit of an inefficient, costly, and ideologically-driven energy agenda that has failed wherever attempted. Join community leaders and local energy experts for a fact-based presentation and panel discussion on the future of rural New York if our state government continues to ignore upstate voices, and learn about what can be done to turn the tide.
