On Sunday, May 5th, members of the LaFayette Bible Quizzing Program will host their 4th annual Silent Auction Fundraiser. This event is open to the community. This project assists us in raising funds to defray the cost of registration & transportation to the International Bible Quiz Competition in July. Our silent auction is always a huge success!
We would like to invite you to join many other local individuals and businesses in participating this year by attending & bidding on items in the silent auction, or by donating an item or gift certificate for the silent auction. This donation will greatly benefit our program and provide your company with additional visibility in our community. Your business name will be listed on our contributor signage both prior to and throughout the event.
Young people in grades 3 through 12 participate in Bible Quizzing throughout the year. They attend weekly practices, participate in local monthly quiz meets, and various reginal quiz meets with quiz teams from across the United States. The top five high school age quizzers will qualify for this year’s International Competition which will be held in Akron, Ohio. In addition to regular quiz practices and meets, Bible Quizzers also do a variety of service projects throughout our community. We are extremely proud of the investment the teens put into both quizzing and our community. It is an exciting privilege to work with young people who make a significant impact in our church, our community, and our world.
If you should need additional information about attending (or would like to donate), please contact Samantha Lloyd, LaFayette Bible Quizzing Support Coordinator, at 315-677-1165 or JoEllen Dunlop, Senior Quizzing Coach, at 315-480-2260.
