The Malone Wesleyan Church will host a Live Nativity Event from 4 pm to 8 pm on Saturday, December 9. This event consists of 20-minute tours that will include live actors from the Roman soldiers greeting the community and entering the public through signing the scroll with quill pens imitating the census. The first scene will feature shepherds living out in the field nearby keeping watch over their sheep, and children will be allowed to pet the flock. Following that, attendees will move onto the market place in Bethlehem for an area with villagers, animals, a bakery, a blacksmith, and a carpenter. The Bethlehem inn will be in this village with “no vacancy” sign and the animals in the market for children to pet will be ducks, goats, geese, rabbits, and chickens.
Lastly, attendees will walk out of the market and to the nativity scene with Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus. At this scene there will be an angel choir and more animals, featuring a cow, a donkey, alpaca and sheep- and angels will be singing about Jesus birth.
