The Denver Archdiocese is suing the state over strictures in its new universal preschool program that would force Catholic schools to violate their principles.
Colorado’s Department of Early Childhood would mandate that all religious preschools enroll LGBT students.
The Archdiocese argues that this law is an obvious violation of the First Amendment and is counting on the courts to see it that way — all the way to the Supreme Court if need be.
