On In The Market with Janet Parshall we heard from a man whose personal journey from Mormonism to follower of Christ has given him invaluable insight into how to understand and speak the message of hope to those in the LDS church. He shared the basic tenets of Mormonism, the hidden significance of family in the Mormon religion and why their Jesus is not the saving Jesus of scripture. We heard from a man who used philosophy, ethics and medicine to support the fight for the preborn. He showed us how to confidently enter the debate for life and how to bring God’s hope to women who are struggling with these literal life and death issues. God makes it clear that prayer is essential to growth in the Christian life, but what do you do when you prayer life is dead? Our guest, a respected bible teacher, helped us understand the role of the Holy Spirit in our prayer lives, understanding the way God answers prayer and so much more. His practical guidance explained the spiritual riches of prayer and why it can not be ignored if we want to deepen our walk of faith. The FDA recently made an announcement regarding over-the-counter contraceptives and we addressed the impact of that decision on the lives of the preborn. We also introduced you to a new mandate that is putting the focus on strong families as the avenue to beat back the scourge of poverty, drug abuse and homelessness in our communities.
