From duck hunting gone awry to silly Christmas antics, you’ll feel right at home!

“Behind the Carols”

A Moody Radio production from 2005 hosted by now retired senior producer Bill Davis. Like so many hymns, many Christmas carols have a unique story behind them. Behind the Carols will bring your favorites to life through the wisdom of a loving grandfather and the imagination of a child. Dramatic sketches throughout will reveal some of what influenced the authors and composers to produce such memorable works. The carols are performed by a variety of musicians. This 55:00 minute program will be presented without any breaks and would be best enjoyed around a fireplace with a hot cup of cocoa in hand.

“Excerpts from The Messiah”
from Moody Bible Institute & Moody Radio

In response to numerous listener and station requests, Moody Radio’s Production team produced the radio special, Excerpts from Handel’s Messiah. This 54-minute special consists of a variety of selections from the Messiah, an oratorio by George Frideric Handel, which had been an annual presentation and performance by the Sacred Music Department of the Moody Bible Institute through 2017. Messiah celebrates the awesome power of God and the gift of his Son, encompassing both the lyrical art of music and God’s word. This special release of Excerpts from Handel’s Messiah was produced from past Moody Bible Institute Music Department performances. Many favorite excerpts from The Messiah are included.

As we get further into this cold season of the year, especially in our listening area, there are a lot of needs out there. For many, something as simple as a nice pair of warm socks would be a tremendous blessing. Did you know that SOCKS are the number one need of those experiencing homelessness? We find that to be interesting, and something that maybe we could help do something about.

So, we’ve decided to start Socks for the Season, an opportunity to give some warmth this season to many in the listening area through something most of us never have to think twice about: SOCKS. If you’d like to partner with us in this manner, simply send us a package of new, unused socks and we’ll distribute them to local missions in the listening area.
