CPMA welcomes Nia Carter, for our April CPMA Meeting.

Learn a little about Nia before the meeting.

Radio, Rhododendrons, and pure Religion…

Nia Carter is a news staple on Syracuse’s largest radio news outlets, WSYR.

Nia got her start in the radio business in 1978 when she became a week-end news anchor in Cincinnati, Ohio. That job turned into the position of full time afternoon news anchor.

Nia Carter’s next news assignment took her to Buffalo, NY where she resided for about one year before taking a position in the Syracuse market with NewCity Communications later becomming ClearChannel in 1998. She has also written thousands of commercials for various radio outlets. Nia has been serving Central New York for nearly 16 years.

Abundant Life Christian Center in East Syracuse has been Nia’s home church since 1996. There she has served as Program Director of the church’s radio ministry and Life Change Group Facilitator.

Besides her career in news radio, she has a freelance/public relations and voiceover business. On the domestic side Nia is an avid flower gardener, and is Mom to one adult son and has a 7 year old grandson in New York City.

Nia wonderfully proclaims, “I love the Lord and I love His Word and I am so grateful that I am a spirit-filled, born again believer in Jesus Christ!”

CPMA welcomes WSYR’s Nia Carter. Come and be blessed!

CPMA welcomes Richard J Ruch, VP General Manager of the Lamar/Syracuse office, for our February CPMA Meeting.

Learn a little about Richard before the meeting.

My wife Judy and I now call the Syracuse area our home after moving here from Williamsport Pa. in 1997.  She is the love of my life and I am so proud of the work she is doing at New Hope family Services.  We found the hills of LaFayette a place to put down roots and then found Eastern Hills Bible Church as our place to worship where I am presently serving on the Elder board.

We have 2 children ,Nicole and her husband Paul Laga and our son Adam and his wife Jessica and our only grandson Logan. and our specila dog Hannah.

I am now in my 43rd year in outdoor advertising and I plan to stay as long as they will have me. I started in the industry with Penn Advertising as a bill poster and worked at many different jobs throughout the years and now I am the VP General Manager of the Lamar/Syracuse office.

I have been a follower of Christ since 1983 and throughout the years spent time leading youth groups and teaching senior high students. My greatest joy is helping others experience the love of Jesus in everything they do.

I love to spend time in the outdoors hiking, hunting , fishing, skiing, snowshoeing , playing golf and teaching my grandson everything I can.

Sincerely,

Richard J Ruch
